About the model

The model of the frigate Friedrich Wilhelm zu Pferde is made at a 1:75 scale. The length along the gundeck is 482mm, and the length including the bowsprit is 669mm. The cannons are cast in brass using a master model and blackened with a special solution.
Valuable types of wood were used:

• Mahogany,
• Macar,
• Boxwood,
• Ebony,
• Pear,
• Apple.

The deck is covered with linden and nailed with specially set bamboo nails. The hull is planked with mahogany strips and also nailed with specially set nails. All the nails are handmade from brass and blackened. All the rigging was made on a special machine. The running rigging is movable. The sails are sewn on a sewing machine from English batiste and fixed with a special solution to appear inflated.

The size of the display case housing the model is 740mm x 695mm x 350mm.
